8/13/24 legitimate adobe illustrator

after last nights entry i stayed up a little bit and did random shit on my computer. i realized i hadn't used adobe illustrator in a while and opened it up and got a warning saying i was using an illegitimate copy of AI and that it would be deactivated in a few days

i was like bruhhh but after a while i started to think that maybe i should actually buy adobe illustrator. i can't use the AI feature in illustrator on my pirated copy becasuse it uses the internet which will notice that i don't have an adobe account linked to the app. i looked at the pricing and holy shit $22 a month im not paying that

i looked around more at my pirated copy and found out that they actually have a discounted subscription for people who are switching over from pirated versions of adobe apps. $16 a month. i said previously to finding out about this in cta "i would pay at most $15 a month for this" and found out about the discount immediately after. i was hesitant at first but ended up buying it. the official version is pretty much the same as the pirated version just that i have the ai vector generator and theres some stuff thats different like cloud saving and shit.

immediately after getting the legitimate copy i decided to ask the ai to create an interstate 90 icon. it made this rly cool thing which wasn't the exact i90 icon but it was a graphic remake with like a bunch of shiny effects and shading and shit. pretty cool

i also switched to bitwarden instead of firefox for my passwords after doing that because i realized using firefox as my password manager was kinda dumb. i asked in vinegarhq "someone give me a password manager" and someone immediately told me to use bitlocker so i used bitwarden

later in the day when i woke up i hopped on adobe illustrator cause i hadnt used it in a while and made some bus stop signs because i hadn't done any bus DOT signage and had been planning to eventually. i put them into roblox and built a small lolipop bus sign to see what it would look like on a 3d object. i really like how they turned out

i showed them to the SF gc and con really liked it and it turns out one of the ones i built is a bus stop right next to drk's work.... wtf... ive literally been to that bus stop before. i mightve passed right by him at work

didn't do much else today. i havent been doing much development for ottc cause im kinda getting tired of signal scripting and also i have a bunch of work to do which ive been procrastinating. i have to do an entire dispatcher map thing and iots just like ughhh bruh i dont wanna do all that UI design in roblox... i cant do it in adobe illustrator because roblox has a max resolution for decals which is 1024x1024 pixels. most annoying bullshit ever bro

i made a twitch account to watch feinberg i think he streams daily at 3pm so ill watch his stream tomorrow i guess
