as usual when i go out with the group i just spend the whole morning doing kinda nothing waiting for the meetup time
i got out the station and met ahmad at his house by checking his location and we walked to lotus house. he told me about an argument he had with his mom this morning
lotus opened the door for us and the inside of her house didn't match the outside at all. there were these awesome single speed bikes in the front door room that she said were her sisters. we all chilled on the couch waiting for lotus to finish getting ready and i met her sister who looks extremely similar to her
we got on the train and tbh i don't really remember what we talked about. we kinda split up into two groups 1. me lotus and ahmad 2. dan and evelyn. changed to the R train at atlantic and did silly stuff while waiting the 12 minutes for the train to arrive
when we got to whitehall street there were 15 minutes until the boat departed. lotus got pepperoni pretzels at auntie anne's which were kinda trash but i ate anyway because i was hungry. when we got on the boat we headed to the back of the main deck (the best part imo) and the boat immediately started to pull out of the dock once we got there. dan and lotus were really scared because they had never been on a boat before and didn't know if they would get seasick
we just enjoyed the view for most of the ride and took pictures of eachother. we went to the front of the main deck towards the second half of the ride and it was incredibly windy. the doors to get there were also insanely hard to push for some reason
when we arrived at st. george i bought some popcorn and everyone else shared with me me despite them saying they didn't want to buy popcorn. we decided to go to mcdonalds and the nearest one was in stapleton so we got on the staten island railway. i went through with my student omny card, lotus used her omny card, ahmad squeezed in with lotus, and evelyn and dan bought a metrocard the quickest they could because the train was about to depart. when we got onto the platform the train i was shocked af to find out that the train we were getting on was the R211S. it's kinda just a regular r211 i don't really know what to say about it. the train departed the moment we got on and we walked through each car trying to find seats and eventually did at the 3rd car
got off at stapleton and there was a family dollar that we all agreed to go to after we finished at mcdonalds. got to mcdonalds and ordered a fuck ton of shit for all of us and evelyn bought a 20 piece chicken nugget for everyone to share thank you evelyn she paid for so much food on this trip. we took a bunch of funny pictures of eachother as usual. while we were waiting for the order, dan asked ahmad "do you like lotus??" and he was trying to be nonchalant about it but after a bit admitted that he did which lowkey i was NOT expecting at all, they're kinda close but i didn't imagine it would be so much to the point where he likes her
we went to the family dollar and ahmad was obsessing over some kind of vibrator massager that he kept using on his head and back and he made everyone try it and ngl it actually felt kinda good. we bought quite literally nothing from the family dollar after spending like 20 minutes in there to pass the 35 minute time until the next train to saint george arrived
we got at stapleton and took more pictures and i took this fiiire picture of lotus and ahmad which is the first picture i'm putting on this entry. the train came and it happened to be the R211S AGAIN which is crazy ngl. there were a bunch of railfans and shit filming in the train this time
made it to st george. i hopped and everyone else went under, ahmad failed to hop and just went under which was pretty funny. we were jokingly covering lotus with her sweater and ahmad decided to join her, and me dan and evelyn abandoned them and hid and they started looking around confused as fuck. thing is, they spent a looong time under that hoodie together. arms wrapped around eachother too. we were all thinking the same thing while we were hiding from them
we got on the boat and evelyn and dan headed up to the upper decks while me lotus and ahmad just chilled on the main deck. i was looking out to the ocean pretty much the whole time just thinking things over. lotus said she liked my nose which was crazy to me cuz that's like my biggest insecurity. made me really think about things deep for some reason. ahmad joined me while i was looking over and lotus was sitting at a different spot on her own and i asked him if they did anything under the sweater and he said no. i was like "really??" and he insisted that they were just standing there. we headed to the front of the main deck as we were approaching manhattan and dan and evelyn came to us. the boat slammed into the wood when it was terminating and we all touched the wood with our hands
we got on the train back home and stayed on the R train all the way to 36 street. between whitehall and dekalb there was this couple arguing and the entire subway car got really quiet to listen to what they're arguing about. i don't remember any of it but the guy was like "now we got this whole train car looking at us". for the rest of the ride we all just had our headphones in and were listening to music. lotus was listening to cherry bomb and everyone else was listening to their own stuff and i was listening to hendrix
i decided to take the D train with them since it was only 5 and we continued listening to music for the rest of the ride. we said bye to eachother at 79th and i went to the other side and took the train home. i got off at 50th and decided to take the b11. when i was waiting for the bus, i was looking at the ground listening to music, and this hispanic lady came up to me with a really cute corgi/pomeranian(?) dog and the dog started licking me and was super happy and she asked me "why are you sad?" and i told her "no im not sad im happy" and she was like "ur waiting for the bus??" i was like yeah and she told me to take care. interesting interaction. cute dog too
kinda did nothing for the rest of the day when i got home. made my instagram posts and doomscrolled for the rest of the day until i started making this entry. i'm gonna lock in tomorrow and start working on my homework. im gonna shower and head to bed for now though. 10:15 goodnight
