woke up at 6:30 and headed to the train station in the freezing cold. my italian class and my english class both went as usual. those are such filler periods tbh, there's barely anything to write about them
max wasn't here again and we just practiced as usual. my eruption solo is good, but it's not perfect. mr lembo told me about how he wants me and all of the rhyhtm section to learn
the trooper for our next next song. by the way i think we're getting the sheet for smooth criminal today. he told us he couldn't make copies today because there was no ink in any of the four copy machines in the teachers lounge. i dont really like iron maiden ngl
went up to get chocolate in the elevator then headed back downstairs and jolin opened the door for me. moment i got down there i started selling all my chocolates and didn't make a single sale.. toward the end of the period sylvia sat next to me and we just kinda started talking about viola and violin and stuff and she pulled out her booklet and placed it on my music stands and ALL the papers in my binder came falling out. i still have yet to reorganize them and i'm writing this at 5 am on 10/17. i just need 25 and enter sandman in there now so i think it'll be fine. when me and sylvia talked it actually wasn't awkward like the first time we met and it felt like we had an actual conversation
nobody bought any chocolate in health or ensemble. in ensemble carlos was telling me smth about his jenifer (ex) and dan overheard and told carlos that she knows her. carlos spent the rest of the period asking dan questions n stuff about jenifer
went around lunch and made like maybe 20 bucks. good sale. ahmad was here today too yaaaay (although i think today is the only day of the week where he's not gonna skip)
chem went okay. i didn't talk to that girl at all but we made eye contact a bit. i think i'm getting closer to everyone in that class, it's reminding me of ms. brunos 10th period last year
i was locked in in geometry finishing my project because i didn't know we had to cut it out and put it on construction paper so i spent half the period doing that and started selling chocolate and made maybe 5 sales
in global i asked alex for this black marker and idk i think she probably thinks i'm weird cause i was asking her SPECIFICALLY for her marker but she was the only person that had a black marker and the marker that i usually use to write on my box. who cares tho fuck that class
headed home and joey stayed on the D train with me because she was headed to queens blvd to meet this guy she's been talking to in elmhurst. we didn't really talk much tbh she was on her phone and i was tired. we walked all the way to the front of the train and i didn't realize i actually needed to be in the back of the train. i still made it to the R train in time though
stayed at home for a bit and joey called me again before i left for the open house at 4:30 and she told me about how he went to qcm and didn't meet with her until 30 minutes after the time they were supposed to. left for the open house and when we got there i helped my family navigate the school and my sister didn't want to go anywhere, but i wanted to go to the band room, so they all went downstairs and i stayed on the 8th floor. they have this really cool roof overpass thing. i don't know if students are allowed to use it during regular school days. i walked into the orchestra room in 8N5 and got welcomed in and started walking around and this girl dressed really nicely started asking me if i had any questions and just told her i was curious and looking around. i spent 10 minutesish talking to her about the whole music program at tech and she was super disappointed to find out i was actually a sophomore and just looking
tech is more of a STEM school, but they have a lot of awesome art programs which was completely opposite to my expectations (the girl told me she thought the same before she went to tech). my biggest regret is not taking the shsat and that open house fueled my regret even more because i most likely would have gone to tech had i taken the shsat
we went downstairs to the auditorium to watch the principal talk onstage and the jazz band was performing and they sounded fucking amazing. best school jazz band i've ever seen ngl. the principal talked about how was 300+ clubs which is insane and about the whole student program there
ngl, for the largest high school in america, it's not as big as i imagined it to be. i can see myself fully knowing my way around the building in maybe two hours
after tech we went to atlantic mall and just bought some stuff that we needed. in target i told my mom about how i wanted to start wearing cologne and she said we could go to macy's sometime
sophia texted me about the chem homework and i asked her for answers and she was being super mean about it (teasing) and she actually sent the answers though i thought she wasn't going to. turns out i got everything wrong cause i didn't fully understand the formula and she made fun of me for it
we went home and apparently there are peak direction green waves on 6th avenue
i didnt finish my box today ahghghh i'll finish it early tomorrow i guess
went to bed at around 10:30. wasn't that hard to fall asleep today ngl. good morning(?)
